Direct Digital Textbooks Info
If your class is a part of the Direct Digital program, you will have access to your course materials on the first day of class, at the lowest price possible. You will be charged an eBook fee for using the materials. This fee will be added to your student account shortly before classes begin. You do not need to purchase a textbook or access code from the bookstore.
IMPORTANT SPRING TERM 2020 DATES:
Monday, January 13: Access begins. Start reading!
Friday, January 24: LAST DAY TO OPT OUT OF MATERIALS.
If you do choose to opt out of your materials, please check with your professor. Opting out may mean losing access to homework assignments.
HOW TO ACCESS YOUR MATERIALS
Go into your course in BrightSpace/D2L.
Your instructor may provide links directly to publisher content. If not:
Go to the content browser and select the RedShelf tool.
Click View Course Materials
HOW TO OPT-OUT
If you decide to opt-out, simply go to the RedShelf link and click I want to opt out of access to all required materials for this course (see image below).
You will be prompted to type OPT OUT and select a reason from the drop-down menu. Please note that this course material is required to pass the course. If you opt-out you are responsible for finding the materials on your own. Prices will be higher and availability may be limited.
Please allow at least two weeks from the opt-out date for the fee to be removed from your account.
